I see car haulers on my commute quite a bit, and I know I’ve seen tons of “regular” Toyota/Lexus haulers over the years, but today !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (sorry, I can’ post pics, someone else could post it maybe?). Pretty snazzy set up. Got me thinking what kind of goodies might be inside, but there’s nothing that exciting at a Lexus dealership these days. I don’t think anyone is taking delivery of an LFA these days.

I’m guessing maybe they were just being delivered over greater distance than other deliveries, hence the need for more protection than the regular haulers I normally see? Or maybe they’re new and I’ll start seeing these Lexus haulers a lot?

... An old as hell International... Kind of wished they used a brand new truck, no?

Funny, that’s not the pic I thought I was linking to. The truck I saw this morning was much newer. (Didn’t snap a pic while driving.) Google Image reveals some newer ones.

Perhaps it's carrying the refreshed IS for its U.S. debut?

For sale? It was definitely headed to Lexus of Bellevue (a Seattle-area dealership.)

It was just unveiled in China, so I doubt it.

When I worked for Lexus, most of our delivery trucks had this set-up.

Right, that’s why I was clarifying.

I’m sticking with my long haul theory. The trip from the rail yard to the dealership is pretty short. Kind of seems like overkill in that situation. Maybe this load of vehicles came from further away.

not all of them came in the black trucks indeed, but most did. OMG when our LFA’s came it, they arrived in these badass Toyota Performance haulers. LOL fun fact, our first one was for our owner. We PDI’d it and he took it around the block... 45 MINUTES LATER!... he comes back with a speeding ticket LOLOLOL!

The owner of our local Lexus dealer also owned an LFA. Did you work in Bellevue?

Neat! I’ve been up close to one in person, but not inside one, and haven’t heard one run (in person).

There’s an auto transport company that works out of the same place I keep my desert truck, they have a few of these. Pretty sweet setups.
